Champagne & Onions
Recorded in Spring of 2010, Champagne and Onions features traditional and contemporary traditional Scottish tunes, music by O'Carolan and original compositions. Kelday in Campsie is a gentle lullaby for Mark's guitar which was built by Bill Kelday.
Released while Mark was resident in Scotland, Aged Pages features music from Scotland and Ireland along with Mark's distinctive compositions. Sliabh na mBan which translates as The Mountain of the Women is a popular Irish air from County Tipperary.
Farewell Jacques Brel
Mark's second album carries forward the French theme and features arrangements of two Brel songs. Farewell was a favourite guitar album of the late great John Martyn and Bling is a study of the chord of A in its many manifestations.
Described as ‘a very polished guitar album which will be listened to with envy, especially by guitarists’ by Irish Music magazine; Calvados was recorded while Mark was living in the Calvados region of Normandy in France.
